OCR Application

It's been a while since I've made a post. I've been busy working on a new application for a client. The client has a document requisition business that gathers documents for lawyers from various locations, scans the documents into a TIFF, then converts them to a PDF and finally makes then accessible on their web site to download the files. Since the scans are basically pictures they aren't searchable using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. I've been working on a process that will take a copy of the PDF, convert it to a searchable document via OCR, then post it to the web site under the correct account automatically for the client. It's been interesting to say the least. I have it working roughly right now, still need to code some error handeling into the application before they start using it full force. Anyway, been busy.
