Going to DC again!
Well I'll be heading back to Washington D.C. in September for another business conference. This time it's the 5th Annual FuseBox Conference hosted by TeraTech. I was debating if I could spring the cash to go or not, but then I received in my email the deal clincher. It was a e-mail ad from FlyI.com, which is a new airline which flies out of Lansing, MI to Washington D.C. daily. Through this week they offer a special of $29 for a one-way fare. They also offer $25 off your first roundtrip flight if you sign-up for the iClub online, which brings each way down to $16.50! Because it was so cheap, my wife Parrity and her two girl friends Rachel and Sarahi are going with us for that discounted rate. We'll be staying in the DoubleTree hotel for the conference. While I'm attending the sessions on Saturday and Sunday, the girls will run around DC site seeing.
I went to DC for the CFUN '04 conference back in June 2004 and really felt that it was a good value. My wife, mother-in-law Alana and myself drove out which wasn't too bad. For $33 round-trip though I think I'll fly and save myself 10 hours in the car.
