New Job

After 6 years of working for myself, I've accepted a full-time job with a local insurance company as their new network engineer. Working for myself brings many benefits, your the boss, flexible work hours, minimal travel. However it also has some drawbacks, when will the next check come in, selling yourself to customers, no vacation time, no sick time, no "backup" person if your on vacation. For me it's been a struggle to "shift gears" between work and then personal things. Maybe everyone has a struggle with that, I don't know, but it's somewhat worn me out. It is my hope that this job will allow me to work my 8-5, then leave it there and come home to focus on spiritual pursuits and personal interests (my wife the biggest one). I start on 6/6/2005 and have a 90-day period where they can let me go if they don't think I'll work out. I'm going to give them the same, if in 90 day's I don't feel like working for someone else is bringing me the benefits (less stress, not being consumed with work ALL the time) I'm looking for then I'll leave and go back to consulting.
