Peter & Chezia

Peter Blondeau is a friend that I made when I first started attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses here in Charlotte back in 1996. He was a young guy then, around 15 if I remember. He and I had a common interest, besides attending the meetings, and that was computers and video games. Some of the other guys gave him a hard times, but Pete was always honest and sincere and that was refreshing. In September 2001 he was invited to move to our world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, USA as a full-time volunteer. This was always his dream and it was nice to see it come true. Pete would joke that he was never going to marry a girl taller then he was (5' 10" or so) or have kids. One day a family was visiting the facilities in New York where he worked as a waiter. The family was from Italy and Peter ran across them while clearing the tables. Needless to say the family had a daughter, she and Peter met, yada yada, their planning on marriage. Pete brought Chezia out to visit everyone "back home" this week and came over for dinner last Sunday. Here are a few photos of the couple.
