Today our congregation had a going away party for a faithful Christian sister, Donnalee Wetzel. Donnalee is in her mid 90's and has been in Charlotte for at least 20 years, pioneering for 15 of those years! Back in July she moved in with her son Sam and his wife about 1.5 hour north of our congregation. So her son Sam brought her to our meeting, which happened to be the CO visit, to see everyone and then we surprised her with a party. Here's a picture of her (on the right) with another sister from our hall, Marcella, who's two years older then Donnalee. Donnalee would call Marcella each morning and go over the text with her, encouraging her to "exert yourself vigorously", one of many phrases Donnalee is known for.

Going away party for Donnalee
