TechSmith SnagIt

Last week at work we purchased the Camtasia Studio and SnagIt bundle from TechSmith (located in Okemos Michigan, right around the corner!) to use for creating training videos on software for employees. I really like the Camtasia Studio product for screen capture and it was rather easy to figure out right off the bat. I did have a problem encoding the videos into the Windows Media format, but a quick e-mail to TechSmith support revealed I needed the Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft. Once that was installed everything worked well. The SnagIt product allows you to do a screen capture of any area of the computer screen and save it as just about any graphic file. It has a lot of features, one of which allows you to skew the image as shown on the right. Pretty cool I thought.
