I love using iPhoto to review my photos or tag and sort them but iPhoto doesn't make it easy to use the keyword feature. I use this to tag photos and then create a smart album to show any photos with particular keywords.
I found a great program, not sure how, called Keyword Assistant and it works great! It allows me to type the keywords out instead of having to select them from a list, performs auto-complete on what I'm typing, allows me to enter more then one keyword by using the comma to seperate them and create new keywords just by typing them and then prompting me to verify I want to create a new keyword. What a great utility and it's free!
