Oracle

Have I mentioned yet this week how much I hate working with Oracle (the software)? It's amazing to me that their patches and the install of their Application Express consist of a number of SQL statements, in effect, batch files, just like DOS from 1988, amazing. I've spent all day trying to get an installation of Application Express APEX 3.1 installed on our development server. The installation script produced (cryptic) errors and the un-installation script told me it completed everything, but it didn't, so I had to hunt through the database to find the files to delete. What a mess!
