For some reason I was missing the Northwind Traders sample database on my laptop and discovered it while reading through my Beginning VB.NET 2003 book on how to connect to the database.
I finally found the sample file to download on the Microsoft site and thought I would post in if anyone else ever needed it. It wasn't so easy to find, Microsoft's site search still isn't the best.

For some reason I was missing the Northwind Traders sample database on my laptop and discovered it while reading through my Beginning VB.NET 2003 book on how to connect to the database.
I finally found the sample file to download on the Microsoft site and thought I would post in if anyone else ever needed it. It wasn't so easy to find, Microsoft's site search still isn't the best.

Thanks so much for the tip about where to find Northwind Traders database. I had the same experience - "Help" referred to Northwind but then I couldn't find it - and I was really frustrated (once again,) with Microsoft.
I'm calm now and ready to try Access.
