Movie Night!

Tonight my wife, her parents, her sister Naomi and her family as well as a sister from our hall, Vickie, all went up to Saranac Michigan to visit a brother from the Ionia congregation. The brother formerly owned some movie theaters and has since retired from that, but turned the parlor in his home into a movie theater complete with opening curtains! The room will sit about 11 he tells us, and he has a popcorn machine and a refreshments counter. There is no price, but donations are accepted. He has it open to the public, but certainly welcomes and probably prefers the friends instead. We watched The Man From Snowy River, which I had never seen, but was enjoyable. I think the thing I liked the most was the ambience, like a little theater! We're looking forward to going back to see another movie and to take along more friends from our congregation.
