Yesterday I created my third virtual server. This one I had to be a full-install as I wasn't able to migrate from physical to virtual. Reason being a Compaq utility that basically won't let the system boot unless it detects a hardware jumper set to a certain position. Since I have no way of emulating that in a VM, I had to install the OS manually and then move the application over.
The good news is that after install the server components for this application, I just needed to copy one directory over and the application took right off. That was an easy migration.
