Leaving Sedona and heading south there is a bend on highway 179 in which you see this awesome mesa, Bell Rock is what they call it. You can park in a small lot just off the highway and hike up to the mesa.
It was only about a 5 or 6 minute walk to the mesa and very easy to climb, in fact we did it in sandals as our shoes were still soaked from swimming in the river at Grasshopper Point.
The view from standing on the mesa is just unreal. We both agreeded that it would be an awesome place to see a sunrise/sunset as well as the moon on a clear night shining down on the landscape. What a sight!
