A little hiking

On the way back from the Grand Canyon we took another scenic drive through the two of Sedona. This town was a small farming town until the 1950's when it received the attention of some Hollywood types. Since then it has grown with celebrity homes as well as "New Agers", people seeking spiritual englightenment. Many shops about "vortexs" and "crystals" and "auras", nothing I'm interested in. We did a little hiking on a nearby trail, however we went down the wrong trail, the one without any shade so we only went about 1/2 mile before we turned back around due to heat. It was also around noon so one of the hottest parts of the day. We left there and went up to a small stop 2 miles north of town called Grasshopper Point. There was small stream there for us to cool off in, and cool off we did, it was COLD! There was a small rock out-cropping there that some others were jumping off into the water in a deep location. I even did it once myself. I thought it was more scary climbing up the rock then jumping off it.
