Relief Work

Parrity left today to go to Ft Lauderdale, Florida to help with the relief work that is finishing up down there. Many of our brothers and sisters had homes that were damaged last fall with the powerful hurricanes that went through. Relief committees have been operating both in Florida and Texas (for New Orleans) since last fall. Along with Parrity, two others from our congregation, five from Eaton Rapids and a few from Jackson went down to help. They do one roof a day, which is pretty impressive since most of them haven't done roofing before. They meet at the local Assembly Hall, receive their assignment, supplies and tools and have a brother oversee the work. She'll be home on Saturday and I'm looking forward to it.
