Using Dell 1100 Laser Printer with Mac

I bought a Dell 1100 Laser Printer on 12/4/05 to print weekly school schedules and student assignment slips for the Theocratic Ministry School that I was conducted. The printer worked fantastically on Windows XP and the toner cartridges would average about 4,000 pages per cartridge. I was very happy with the printer! In May 2006 I bought my MacBook to replace my Dell Inspiron 600M laptop. According to Dell the Dell 1100 Laser Printer will only work with Windows, which is my fault as I didn't check to see if it would work with my Mac. After some searching through Google it turns out that the Dell 1100 Laser Printer is made by, or has a very close relative, the Samsung ML-1710 laser printer. However the North American Samsung web site doesn't have Mac OS X printer drivers for the printer. However the Samsung Australian site, under support, you can find drivers for the Mac OS which work fantastically! The only thing that the driver doesn't seem to provide is a way to see the current toner level, at least I've not found it so far.
