Move iTunes data to new installation
Like moving my iPhoto '08 data, I wanted to move my iTunes data and retain my playlists, but most importantly my ratings, song count and "last played" time. After some searching in Google I came across this page that detailed copying the old iTunes library to the new location to retain this information. So this is what I did, using my complete system backup, and it worked perfectly (I have all of my iTunes data like song count and rating).
