Install Windows XP Pro into a Virtual Machine on a VMWare ESX 3.5 host

Today at work I needed to create a Windows XP virtual machine to run as a guest on a VMWare ESX 3.5 host system. The problem is that the default BusLogic disk controller driver isn't found on the Windows XP SP2 CD-ROM. So to make this work, you need to download the floppy image from VMWare here. Put that in your data store, then point the floppy drive of the virtual machine at that. Now when you start Windows installation, use the F6 key to specify a storage driver, point it at your floppy drive to load the BusLogic driver and your all set.

Thanks mate - after a lot of frustration -your pointer to the link directly for the driver was of great help
