Monday - Watchtower Farms Tour!

Today we got around a little later then the last few days, but headed over to the Watchtower Farms for a tour after we picked up some bagels. We met up with two fleshly sisters that have been at the Farms for over 10 years, but use to regular pioneer in Par's congregation when she was growing up. They are so funny together, everyone says they're like chipmunks. They invited us to have lunch with the family, a very nice privilege, then we had a tour of the facilities. We ran into a couple that are serving in a ASL congregation in Tennessee, however he use to be at Bethel and was visiting old friends after the convention. They recently became a congregation from a group and shared some insights of that process with me. He echos the same thing I've heard from a number of others, that being a congregation will be much easier then being a group. I really look forward to that! After the tour we called one of the sisters husbands who is the fire chief at the Farms. He showed Brad (former fireman and paramedic) their setup, and Brad gave him some suggestions on things they might do with the operation there. After that we returned to the Harvest Inn, walked across the street to the diner, had a nice dinner and retired to the hotel pool for a cold swim. After a quick dip we went back to the pool and talked until about midnight.
