IPSCA Certificates and IIS 6.0

logoipscacaja.gif

Since I work for a University, we use IPSca for our SSL certificates since they are free for EDU organizations. However, for their certificates to work, the web server administrator needs to install a "intermediate certificate" so that the user isn't told that the signing authority isn't trusted.

According to the IPSCA support site, it states to install the "IPSSERVIDORES Root Certificate" certificate if your using Microsoft, however, this isn't true, you actually need the "ipsCACLASEA1 Intermediate Certificate" to make this work successfully.

I've emailed the company support about this so they can update their website.
