Tungsten E
I finally broke down and ordered a new PDA. I've used both the PocketPC platform and the Palm platform in the past. This time I was after something small, light weight and just for my appointments, addresses and to-do lists and to be reasonably priced. I use to have a Palm Zire, which was cheap ($65) with 2MB memory, which was plenty for the aforementioned items, but just had the old un-attractive monochrome screen.
This time I opted for the Palm Tungsten E model and I can't tell you how totally impressed I am with the screen on this device. It is SO bright and SO clear! It's just stunning to look at and much better then the PocketPC device I had previous. The size and weight are just right and I love the new Agenda view for the calendar. I bought it from PalmOne.com for $199 and the next day, of course, I saw Techbargains had a link for it at $149, oh well.
I've gotten away from using Microsoft Outlook as I just find it slow and memory intensive, but certainly a complete package when it comes to features. I've been using the Palm Desktop, which really isn't that bad except the searching features could take a lesson or two from Google.
